Abstract:

This work questions the boundaries between dress, movement, video and lighting, in order to explore how those aspects of performance can interact and complement each other, resulting in intriguing balances between them. It investigates how costume can generate and influence movement. The project is also concerned with the notion of the cycle of life, representing different life stages from birth to death and showing living elements in harmony. Further, it deals with notions of presence, absence and remembrance, and explores how the past sometimes merges with the present.
